The best piece of advice that I can give to someone that is wanting a divorce is to not do it...at least not just yet. It's important for you to take the time to think it over and decide if anything can be done to save your marriage. Divorces can be messy and expensive, not to mention stressful. Sometimes when I meet with people they are just starting the thought process and mainly want information, while others wish that they were divorced yesterday. Here are some ideas to try to work on your marriage:
TALK to your spouse...does your spouse even know how you feel? If you haven't expressed your concerns ot your spouse, how can he or she be expected to attempt to "fix" them?
Go on a date night
Many times, however, people who come to me have tried to salvage their marriage, and it's just not going to work. That's ok. Just because your marriage isn't going to work out doesn't mean that you or your spouse is a bad person; you can be great, your spouse can be great, but you're just not great for each other. If you find yourself in this situation, I'm here to help & guide you through the process.
